About FM Innovations
FM Innovations provides consulting services for the implementation of CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) and IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems), Document Management and Room Scheduling solutions. These solutions help corporations strategically manage their real estate holdings, assets, people, move management, preventive maintenance and work order systems.
FM Innovations assists companies with large real estate holdings to implement these systems successfully and provides ongoing consulting services as required. FM Innovations recommends and implements “Facility Information Solutions” based on customer needs.
History
FM Innovations was formally founded in 2002 as a division of Tecton Architects, an established and successful architectural firm based in Hartford, CT. Tecton designs ground up buildings for large corporations, hospitals, universities and municipalities.
Providing IWMS services was a logical extension of Tecton’s services to its existing customer base to help them manage their facilities upon building completion. Together, Tecton and FM Innovations provide start to finish services - or Building Lifecycle Management – encompassing every phase from strategy to architecture, construction, move-in and ultimately to ongoing facility management.
